A 28-year-old Plover man has now been charged after police say he is the suspect in at least a dozen cases of vandalism.

Investigators says on Nov. 2 they responded to the report of a vehicle with a broken windshield. According to the criminal complaint, the suspect stole a pumpkin from a display at a home on Shadowview Circle and shattered the windshield of a car in the same neighborhood.

Investigators say in all there were 13 incidents of vandalism including windshield wipers torn off car, motion lights to homes broken and taillights smashed out of vehicles.

According to the criminal complaint, the most serious incident involved an outside faucet to a home being turned on; flooding the basement of the home.

Court documents say the suspect, later identified as Michael Bahrke dropped his cellphone at one of the crime scenes.

Police say during questioning Bahrke admitted to the crimes. He's currently behind bars and will learn Monday if the case will head to trial. Bond was set at $5,000 cash.

He's also charged with the July 24 church burglary at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Plover. The pastor there said 14 windows were broken during the incident and the church's surveillance camera was taken. The damage was estimated to be around $3,600.

Bahrke is expected to reach a plea deal in that case Jan. 24.
