A 5-year-old Wisconsin Rapids boy was hit after he crossed a street in the Village of Babcock.

Wood County Deputies say a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Allen Wagler of Pittsville was traveling eastbound on Taylor Avenue.

The boy crossed Taylor Avenue into the vehicles path. Nekoosa EMS was on scene at the time of the accident. The 5-year-old was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital for possible injuries.
