Merrill Superintendent Is Retiring

Frank Harrington is ending his educational career after 37 years. He will retire as the Merrill Area School District Superintendent in June.

Harrington says Merrill will need to cut between $1.1 and $1.6 million from next years budget.

Like many schools with declining enrollment, Merrill faces some difficult decisions in the immediate future, and Harrington says someone with more energy is better suited to the task.
