Supporters of a bill that'd let you carry a concealed weapon have reached a deal with law enforcement.
It'd let officers check people in cars they pull over to see if they have a permit.
The Wisconsin Troopers Association says it'd protect the officers and the passengers, but if they check too often, they'd get a misdemeanor.
The bill's authors want the list of who has permits to be kept secret.
A spokesperson for Gov. Doyle says he'll still veto it just as he's done before.
