The 998 Quartermaster Company in Junction City has been called to active duty. Although the soldiers there say they do not know what their orders will be, the company's captain says they will most likely be related to what they are doing now.
The company has been trained to purify water and fuel vehicles.
"We have reverse osmosis purification units." Capt. Steve Boos said. "They purify water. We can do that with salt water."
More than 100 people from across the Midwest are part of the 998th company, and soldiers will be coming from as far as Illinois and Minnesota to Junction City to prepare to go to Fort McCoy.
