Monday's Honor Flight has Special Guests Aboard

Updated: Mon 6:04 PM, Sep 24, 2012

September 24th marks the ninth Never Forgotten Honor Flight since the inaugural trip in 2010. Embarking on the trip that’s just days away is a veteran that fought courageously for this country, like so many other veterans during his time.

Walter John Chilsen, a bombardier during World War II, saw his share of action while flying in nearly 18 missions. However, his most captivating one was the 14th.

Walter Chilsen told us, “I’m the last surviving member of our crew, except for our replacement guy in our group, but I am the last one left.”

Since 2010, nearly 800 veterans have gone to Washington D.C. to see their monuments.
