Charges have now been filed against two men police are responsible for firing a gun over the weekend in Adams.
The Adams Police Department says officers responded to an apartment complex on State Street for the report of gun shots just before 11 p.m. On August 26.
Ronnie Penelton, 23 and James R. Scott, 38 were taken into custody after police say the men were involved in an altercation. Police say another man was also assaulted.
Scott is facing a charge illegally possessing of a firearm and 1st degree reckless endangerment. Penelton is facing a charged of 1st degree reckless endangerment. Both men are being held in the Adams County Jail on $10,000 cash bonds.
They are due in court September 24.
