It's now been two years since a Wausau woman was seen, but detectives say the case is still very active.
Stephanie Low, now 24, was speaking on the phone with a family member during the early morning hours of October 10, 2010 when she abruptly hung up. The day after Low was reported missing her brother told NewsChannel 7 sheets were missing off her bed and one of her slippers was gone. Police didn't confirm those details, but from the very beginning her family said they had a bad feeling.
Earlier this year, Wausau Police Chief Jeff Hardel says man hours are put into the case every week, with his people following every lead they get. He says they've talked to about 175-people as they search for answers.
In August, Police named a person of interest. But so far no charges relating to Low's disappearance have been filed.
On Wednesday, October 10, the public is invited to a balloon release and candle light vigil at Oak Island Park, located at 500 River Road in Wausau. The event starts at 6 pm.
Stephanie Low is described as a white female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
