The Wisconsin State Patrol says they made two separate OWI arrests over the weekend. In both cases, the driver had children in the car.
The first incident happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday. Max M. Kane Jr., of Washburn, was stopped by an officer at the Citgo gas station in Mercer. The officer determined Kane, 37, was intoxicated. He was arrested and is expected to be charged with driving under the influence, his 2nd offense.
On Sunday night, State Patrol responded to a call about a possible intoxicated driver on Highway 55 in Kaukauna. The driver, a 33-year-old Kaukauna woman was located and was arrested for allegedly driving drunk with two children in her vehicle.
She's expected to be charged with operating while intoxicated.
