2 Dead in Beloit House Fire

BELOIT, Wis. (AP) -- Two people have died in an early morning fire in Beloit.

Authorities say police officers, first on the scene, helped a third person escape the fire about 4 a.m. Wednesday. The Beloit Daily News reports that person is hospitalized in critical condition.

Two other adult victims died at the scene of the fire.

Beloit fire and police departments are investigating.
