Two people have now been charged and a warrant has been issued for a third, after drugs were sent to an inmate at the Forest County Jail.
According to court documents, Shashe Malone, 30, sent a letter to her children's father requesting he send “boxers”. However, she asked the letter be addressed to another inmate, Kaylynn Samplaski, 18.
Corrections officers say a letter from Rufus Durham, 48, arrived on Nov. 27 for Samplaski. Inside correction officers say they found Suboxone, which is also known as its street name, boxers. The drug is a prescription medicine used for maintenance treatment of opioid dependence.
Malone and Samplaski are both charged with delivering illegal articles to inmate and possession of a controlled substance.
Durham is also expected to be charged with delivering illegal articles to an inmate. Online court records list Durham as having a Milwaukee address.
