Officers Seize nearly $10,000 worth of Heroin, Suspect Charged

A 28-year-old Wausau man is behind bars on a $10,000 cash bond after law enforcement discovered heroin and cash at his apartment during search.

According to a news release, on March 12, officers from the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Unit and Police Department executed a search warrant at at a home on the 500 block of McIndoe Street. Cash and a significant amount of heroin were seized from the apartment. Quo Vadis Lewis is charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession with intent to sell heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Investigators estimated the heroin had a street value of $8,500 to $10,000.

The suspect has prior drug convictions.

He'll return to court March 20 to find out if his case will head to trial.
