University of Wisconsin officials are trying to figure out what's up with these spikes in student fees.
UW regents say administrators are using them to build student unions, fitness centers and student health clinics as state funding decreases.
The fees are now more than $500 at all four-year campuses and $1,100 at UW-Green Bay.
One regent says this is alarming and can affect the ability of students to pay for their education.
Results on this audit should come next month.
