The group is called the United Citizens Alliance. They say they work to promote unity in the human race through aiding disaster victims and pushing for civil rights. Dirk Wolf started the Stevens Point chapter in August.

A group member says that even though Wolf was no longer a college student he maintained his idealism and wanted other students to join the group.

"He wanted college students to train because he wanted them to not already have a pre-set way of doing things like a lot of older people tend to already have," says group member Jie Zhou.

Zhou says on the day of the shooting the group had a meeting. There was a new face there. Aaron Harvath, the man suspected of later shooting Wolf was at the meeting. Zhou says Harvath was not part of their group before that meeting, even though the group's Web site mentions Harvath as a member.

"I'm not sure what his interest level was but we were doing several things to help get us more funding so I think he was part of that," says Zhou.

Zhou says he's not sure of any motive behind the shooting. He says the group hasn't met since the incident and he's not sure if they'll stay afloat without Wolf.

Aaron Harvath will appear in court Tuesday for his initial appearance, where he's facing charges in the death of Dirk Wolf. The funeral for Wolf will also take place Tuesday at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point.
