Area Couple Robbed at Gunpoint

Al and Mary Shidell feared for their lives.

Around 5 p.m. Tuesday evening, two African-American men entered their Town of Gleason home and robbed them at gunpoint. The robbers made off with between $4,500 and $5,000.

Both Al and Mary were injured, but not seriously.

Investigators say they are currently searching for two black males, and are following leads to further investigate the crime.

This is the second time in just a few months that the Shidell's home has been robbed. The couple owns many laundromats in the area, and stores some of the cash in a safe at their home.
