You have the chance to experience what it's like to make and wear real armor, at an event for The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum's latest exhibit, 'Age of Armor'.

Armorers from the Oakeshott Institute in Minneapolis, Minn. are in Wausau this week.

This morning, they gave demonstrations for Wausau students on how armor is made, how it's used, and the position of knights in the Middle Ages society.

Throughout the week, armorers like Chris Poor will create a real suit of armor, that would fit a 10 to 12 year old child.

This Saturday's event, Up in Arms: Exploring the History and Culture of Armor, has a full day of activities and sessions for the whole family.

Click on the 'Up in Arms' link below to go to the Woodson's Calendar of Events, and scroll about halfway down that page for a listing of Saturday's events.
