WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) -- A judge ordered a 4 1/2-year prison term for a man on his ninth drunken driving offense.

Court records show 42-year-old Joseph Grulkowski pleaded no contest to the felony charge, and Marathon County Circuit Judge Dorothy Bain sentenced him to the prison time followed by three years of extended supervision.

A criminal complaint says Grulkowski was arrested Jan. 27 after an Everest Metro police officer saw his vehicle weaving in Weston and noticed its registration was expired.

Records show his previous arrests on drunken driving charges were in April 1990, June 1992, July 1993, June 1995, November 1998, December 1998, September 2001 and September 2002.
