Seasonal Affective Disorder is a form of depression that often affects people in the shorter, darker days of fall and winter.
The symptoms are very much like depression, such as fatigue, a change in appetite and even moodiness.
Doctors say S.A.D. is different from depression, however, because it is a cyclical disorder and will eventually come to an end.
There are several ways to treat S.A.D., including light therapy and sometimes, medication.
You're urged to see your doctor if you're showing any signs of depression, so they can properly diagnose you.
