Thanks to some local bikers who ride with pride and make a whole lot of noise, Special Olympics athletes in our area now have a little more financial support behind them.
Today the Annual Fun Run took place in Marathon City.
Each year riders from all over NorthCentral Wisconsin come out to show their support.
Sgt. Kory Gerkschen with the Marathon City Police Department says. "You know in 7 years we’ve ridden in snow, rain and sleet, and freezing rain and we have a core of people that no matter what the weather is the always come out, they always show up they just have a great time with faithful supporters of special Olympics."
More than 100 bikers road 150 miles for the fun run today, which raised more than twenty thousand dollars for the Special Olympics.
