More and more law enforcement agencies are using DNA tests to solve crimes, and now the backlog sits at 1100.

More and more law enforcement agencies are using DNA tests to solve crimes, and now the backlog sits at 1100.
Analysts use DNA to solve murder and rape cases.
Also burglary and theft are becoming more common.
Nearly 800 cases have been solved using DNA since 2001, and 156 more have been cracked because of our link to the FBI database.
The state has two DNA labs with 25 analysts, and plans to add four more.
