Most drivers worry about slippery roads when the temperatures drop quickly after a warm spell. About 200 people in Rosholt, however were looking for them.
They weren't on the the highways though, they were out on Lake Helen. This is where main thoroughfares can be found out on the ice.
People from all over Northcentral Wisconsin turned out for the "Blizzard Busters Fisheree." Organizers say it was great to see so many people supporting the snowmobile club's fundraiser.
"Beautiful," said Judy Kruzicki, treasurer for the Blizzard Busters snowmobile club comments looking out at the crowd of people buying chili and hamburgers in the food tent. "Even in the cold weather, we had so many supporters come out. We are so happy for everybody that backs us."
The Fisheree is an annual event that's been celebrated in the area for more than 12 years.
The club says some of the money raised will go toward maintaining snowmobile trails and the rest will go to local charities.
