Dave Marg is the Marathon County Snowmobiler Trail Supervisor, and he is still optimistic about the snowmobile season, but the trails aren't scheduled to open anytime this year.
Marg says the trails need eight to 10 inches of snow, and he doesn't see that happening before the new year.
