A plea deal is in the works in the murder of a Wisconsin Rapids woman and her boyfriend, according to the special prosecutor in the case.
Mike Luell tells NewsChannel 7 the deal is with John Tetting, Junior, who is one of two men accused of murdering Tabatha Nealy and Joshua Alderman of La Crosse in March 2007.
Luell says the deal covers the homicides and other charges, but would not say how many years he'll be asking that Tetting spend in prison.
One of the conditions is that Tetting testify against the other suspect, David Turner.
Tetting's plea hearing is scheduled for April.
Police say he drove Turner to meet with Alderman in a remote area south of Wisconsin Rapids to discuss a drug distribution conspiracy.
That's whee Nealy and Alderman were found shot to death.
Tetting and Turner were arrested in October.
