WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities say a frantic 911 call to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department from the home of an 11-year-old Weston girl who died from untreated diabetes was made by friends of the girl's parents.

Captain Scott Sleeter of the Everest Metro Police Department says Randall and Althea Wormgoor each spoke to a dispatcher Sunday as chaos and cries could be heard in the background at the Dale and Leilani Neumann home in rural Weston.

Madeline Neumann died that day from an undiagnosed and treatable form of diabetes.

Her parents prayed for her to get better.

Her mother, Leilani Neumann, says she never expected her daughter to die.

Mrs. Neumann says the family believes in the Bible, and it says healing comes from God.

These parents are really insane. Their other children should be removed from their care before another dies. They should be placed in mental hospitals for the rest of their days.

If you child is at home going into a coma, it's time to get medical help. What part of that message, didn't these parents understand?

Do these parents not have any common sense? I also believe that God has given doctors the knowledge, resources, and wonderful talent and ability to heal. Not to mention the minister of the so-called church that I believe was quoted in the Wausau Daily Herald saying that doctors were 9,000 more dangerous than gun owners, and now he is saying in his statement that he does not condemn them or anyone seeking treatment. He sounds like a real nut-case. Is he even an ordained minister of the gospel? Maybe he earned that title on-line. The parents need to be charged in this preventable death.

I'm a diabetic mother of two diabetic teens, who also happens to be a christian.I believe in prayer and faith but I believe God gave dr.s the knowledge to heal us.I also know what it is like to suffer the affects from dka ,my children also. You feel like its hard to breathe, you feel tired no matter how much you sleep, you feel like you want to die.My 14 yr.old was in tears because she almost died from this before and said she could only imagine how the girl felt for the last few weeks.

I know this doesn't sound very nice but have read the mother's blog - she sounds totally cuckoo to me.
