What to Do if You Hate Your Tattoo
Laser removal will be the closest thing to removing the tattoo completely, but cover-ups are another way to go if you've just changed your mind about your choice of art.

Do you still have that tattoo of your ex-girlfriend or boyfriend's name, or maybe the skull from your rock and roll days? Well, if you're looking to get it removed, there may be a few options to consider.
The needles come in sealed wrappings, the paint must meet federal safety guidelines and all their equipment is sterilized the same as medical supplies, but that's not what a person considering a tattoo is really worried about.
Scooter, from Expressions Ink in Wausau, says, "They say a tattoo will last longer than a marriage, so you really gotta be careful."
Brighton Becker, a 22-year-old Schofield resident, says of getting her sixth tattoo, "[There are] so many ideas, you never know what you want next. You gotta be very committed."
The people at Expressions Ink see people who regret tattoos, mostly they say when it comes to someone putting a name on their body, but when it comes to completely removing tattoos, your best and safest option is laser removal, but that has its flaws.
Scooter says, "Laser surgery, my wife's been back seven times on the same tattoo."
Becker says, "Although she doesn't regret any of her ink, there are things she wouldn't mind changing."
She says, "My first one. I think the spider looks more like a wood tick, so I think I might get that one touched up and redone a little bit."
Scooter says covering up tattoos is very popular because it’s less expensive and a whole lot easier than laser removal.
As of now there is no hospital in Central Wisconsin that offers laser removal; however, the Marshfield Clinic has put it in their most recent budget proposal. They're hoping it'll go through, and they'll have it in about four months. Until then, Madison is the closest city that offers that procedure.
