Firefighters say a malfunction in an electrical box may be to blame for an overnight fire at the Lakeside Motel in Wisconsin Rapids.
Officials say guests at the motel were the first to discover the blaze.
Several fire departments, including Grand Rapids and Nekoosa were on the scene at 6540 Highway 13 South, just after 2:00 a.m.
The Fire Captain says the blaze is now under control, and no one was injured.
He also says an adjoining house suffered extensive smoke damage.
