MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A federal grand jury indictment accuses a Wisconsin man and an Illinois woman of taking sexually explicit photographs of the woman's 6-year-old twin girls and sharing them via the Internet.
The indictment returned in Madison charges Roger Smith of Hollandale in southwestern Wisconsin and a central Illinois woman whose hometown wasn't disclosed.
They are charged with two counts each of producing sexually explicit depictions of minors and shipping them between states. The indictment also charges the woman with two counts of helping Smith engage in sexual conduct with her girls for the pictures.
Each of them could face up to 30 years in federal prison on each count.
According to an affidavit, the case grew out of an Internet sting by an undercover officer posing as a 13-year-old girl. That led to a search of Smith's home February 28th.
The two are being held in the Dane County Jail.
