The Baker family says they've had a few too many close calls with trains on a railroad crossing near their family business in Rothschild. The most recent, just last week.
Eighteen-year-old Heather Baker's truck was hit by a train at the crossing on Morrison Ave. in Rothschild. Heather says she didn't even see the train coming.
Luckily she escaped the accident with only minor injuries.
Heather and her family have had many close calls in the past few years. They say the intersection is dangerous because it's hard to see down the tracks and there are now flashing lights to warn you when a train is coming.
Rothschild village leaders tell NewsChannel 7 they will put in an official request to the railroad to get new and improved safety measures put up at the crossing.
The Railroad Commission will then investigate the intersection and determine if lights or arms are needed.
