This is the 16th year for the Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living fair in Custer. And each year, it draws thousands of people from all over the world to learn about the latest products and information regarding alternative energy.

And this year promises to be no different.

Exhibitors spent Thursday setting up booths at the Midwest Renewable Energy Association grounds.

Throughout the weekend, you can listen to speakers, attend workshops, and browse the booths, all to learn all about the latest in solar, wind, hydro, and other forms of energy that are good for the environment.

"Between the 190 exhibits, you'll pretty much get a feel with what a renewable energy system looks like and works like," says Chris Talbot, the mainstage coordinator and fair assistant.

The fair drew about 17,000 people last year, including Greg Price, who works for a wind power company in Oregon. He says this fair is one of the best in the country because it brings people together for the common cause of protecting the planet.

"We all have similar goals and a lot in common and we really work together and we find there's enough space in the market for all of us and if we work together, we're more efficient," says Price.

The Renewable Energy Fair runs Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entertainment will be Friday and Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Admission is $10 for a day pass and $25 for the whole weekend with discounts for kids, students, and seniors.
