Wausau's effort to beautify land along the Wisconsin River is getting a financial shot in the arm from Uncle Sam.
The city is getting a $200,000 grant from the EPA to clean up the former Cloverbelt Coop Services site on First Street. Wausau bought 15-acres of Riverfront Property in that area in June of 2011.
A press release from the mayor's office says cleaning up the 15-acres should help spur future development of the area.
