Janet Krueger has cooked Thanksgiving dinner at her house south of Merrill for 19 years. Tuesday night, the only thing that was cooking was her roof.
Krueger's house caught on fire and before the fire department was able to put it out she had a hole in her closet and a pile of insulation in her driveway.
But the house was saved, and so was the holiday.
Janet spent Thanksgiving cooking two turkeys to feed the 18 people at her house.
And she was just thankful she had the opportunity to cook in her own kitchen.
