The Marathon County Highway Department worked all day Wednesday to clear 25 tons of steel beams from the Snake Bridge.
Late Tuesday night a Merrill Iron and Steel semi dumped its load on the end of the bridge, blocking traffic until after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says the load shifted on the trailer, and the driver will not be ticketed for the accident.
The beams didn't cause any structural damage to the bridge, but the footbridge, guardrail and some neighboring trees were damaged.
