RHINELANDER, Wis. (AP) -- A 46-year-old Eagle River man is scheduled to enter a plea Monday in connection with a boating crash that killed one woman.

Jeffery Habenicht is charged with eight felonies, including homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.

Six other felony charges have been dismissed.

Prosecutors say Habenicht was piloting a jet boat in 2006 that collided with another boat carrying several people, including 31-year-old Melissa Mann.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Five other passengers were injured.

Authorities quote witnesses who reported seeing Habenicht driving wildly.

They also told investigators the collision sent bodies flying out of the boat.

According to the criminal complaint, Habenicht's blood-alcohol level at the time was 1 1/2 times the legal limit.
