D.C. Everest Teacher Recognized

The teacher WSAW is recognizing this month has spent more than a decade educating children with cognitive disabilities.

For the past four years, Penny Ravey has been putting her talents to use at D.C. Everest High School. She talks about some of the rewards of her job.

"There's kids that can't do a lot, but they can brighten up a day by smiling at you," Ravey said. "But they can brighten up a day by smiling at you, if they appreciate something you've done.

"It's really good to see them progress and contribute in whatever way they can." Ravey said.

Ravey teaches 13 children at D.C. Everest High School.
