One of two suspects law enforcement believes is behind more than 40 separate burglaries in Vilas County has pleaded not guilty.

Lindsey Alexis Adams, 20, is charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia .

According to the criminal complaint, investigators were able to match shoe prints and tire tracks that were taken on December 20, 2011 at one the crime scenes to the suspects.

In May, a search warrant was conducted at Adams' home. Investigators seized a television from the living room that matched serial numbers to a television reported missing from one of victims.

According to a news release, Adams and a juvenile male were arrested when evidence collected during a search tied them to the crimes.

The male juvenile has been referred to juvenile authorities for similar charges.

Investigators believe the burglaries stemmed back to August 2011.

Both Adams and the juvenile suspect are from St. Germain.

Adams will return to court July 17.
