UPDATE: Authorites Release Names of Wood County Crash Victims

Authorities are releasing the names of people involved in a two-vehicle crash in Wood County that left three people injured.

They say it happened Saturday morning on State Highway 13, between Elm and Hickory Roads, near Pittsville.

According to a news release issued by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Anthony Marten, 16, of Pittsville was traveling on Highway 13 North, when he swerved onto the shoulder, over corrected, and crossed the center line into the path of a vehicle traveling eastbound, driven by Rhonda Sherman, 46, of Neillsville. She was ejected from her vehicle. Authorities say a passerby, pulled a 4-year-old boy from her vehicle, moments before it burst into flames.

All three had to be transported to a Marshfield hospital. Officers say Sherman remains in serious condition, Marten was kept overnight for observation, and the 4-year-old was released.
