Police say they have no new leads on a man that robbed a Stevens Point bank on Highway 10 at gunpoint. It happened at the Community First Bank in Stevens Point just before 6 p.m. last night.
Police say the suspect entered the bank right before closing, pulled out a gun and demanded money. Police say the man took an undisclosed amount of money and left.
"Nobody was hurt," says Stevens Point Officer Timothy Davy. "The employees were not harmed."
Still, Davy says this is the first time in 16 years anything like this has happened in the area.
Police continue to issue a description of the suspect. He is described as a white male with a slender build. He is between 5'10" to 6' tall and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds. The robber was wearing light khaki pants and a red, long-sleeved shirt. The FBI has been called in to investigate.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Stevens Point police at (715) 346-1500.
