Law enforcement officials say crime tends to go up in hot weather -- but the weekend's cold temperatures didn't dampen four separate Milwaukee shootings that left a dozen people injured.
Police are still searching for suspects in the shootings that spanned from Friday night to yesterday morning.
A 42-year-old woman says Friday about 10 p.m., someone in a car made a comment that caused her to run. As she fled to her house, she was shot in the leg.
A few hours later, four people were shot after a bar fight.
A second fight at a different bar left six people with gunshot injuries. Police say the shots apparently came from outside the bar.
Then about 2 a.m. Saturday a 45-year-old man was walking with a friend down the street when a car passed them. The car did a U-turn and sped past, with someone inside firing a shot that hit the man in the stomach.
