KEWAUNEE, Wis. (AP) -- A charge of providing day care services without a license has been filed against a Kewaunee County woman whose minivan caught fire with six children inside, killing two of the youngsters and injuring the other four.
The county prosecutor said last week that no criminal charges would be filed against 36-year-old Susan Laluzerne of Luxemburg but he would pursue the licensing charge, which was filed Wednesday in Circuit Court.
State law prohibits anyone from providing care for four or more unrelated children under the age of 7 without the license.
The minivan caught fire last November while parked on Main Street in Luxemburg.
