Visually impaired people in Wisconsin came to Wausau to learn what technology and other resources are available to them.
The three-day conference for the blind wrapped up Sunday. People who came learned skills for traveling, employment strategies and educational options.
"They're not given information about quality training centers across the country that have more innovative, progressive training styles to promote independence of blind people." President of the National Federation of the Blind of Wisconsin Mark Riccobono says.
Organizers says it is important people who are visually-impaired are aware of their options to become better trained.
