A house fire that killed a mother from Marathon County is being investigated as suspicious.
On Monday, yellow police tape still surrounded the home on Robin Lane in the town of Ringle where a fire took place on Friday afternoon.
Firefighters found 61-year-old Rose Stepan inside.
The state crime lab and the state fire marshal are both assisting detectives in Marathon County in the investigation.
Meantime, the victim's family has set up a fund. Donations can be sent to any M&I Bank in the care of, The St. Therese Church for Benefit of Richard Stepan, the victim's husband.
