Snow Removal Hazards

If you're pulling out your snowblower for the first time this season, remember safety first.

A good rule of thumb, if you want to keep your thumbs, is always make sure the machine is off when your hands are anywhere near the blades. Trying to take a short cut by not turning it off, could cost you more than a few precious minutes.

If you remove snow the old-fashioned way, with a shovel, there are a few more things to keep in mind.

First it is a physical activity and people with health conditions have their limitations. Also, anyone can be injured on a slippery surface.

What you put on your feet this winter, will help you stay on your feet and protect your from the cold.
