JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- A Janesville couple is looking for a new high school for their two daughters after they say an incident this month left one feeling threatened.
Elle Jacobson is a junior at Parker High School. She says she's still unnerved over an incident in English class two weeks ago in which she claims a classmate tore pages out of a Bible during a presentation.
She claims he did it for shock value.
Some argue the boy's move constitutes protected speech under the First Amendment.
School officials say they're aware of the incident but aren't confirming whether the boy was suspended.
Prinicipal Dale Carlson says any disciplinary actions taken in this case were because of behavior separate from the Bible.
