WILSON, Wis. (AP) -- A man from western Wisconsin has died in an ATV crash.

The body of 56-year-old Patrick Sobota of rural Wilson was recovered near the edge of a bean field on Monday.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office says Sobota left the American Legion in Wilson about 8:30 p.m. Monday but did not arrive home.

A search found that he had crashed his ATV into a wood line along a bean field. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

Wilson is about 30 miles east of Hudson, Wis.
