The search continues tonight for a driver authorities say was involved in a hit and run crash Friday night near Marshfield.
The Marathon County Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 97 and Galvin Road in the town of McMillan after the driver of a white pickup truck blew a stop sign.
"The driver of the other car was severely injured,” said Lt. Dale Wisnewski of the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department. “They believe at least both legs were broken as a result of the crash.”
53-year-old Thomas Schulta of Stratford was taken to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield after his car collided with the pickup truck.
Police say they believe they are looking for a newer white Ford or GMC model truck.
If you have any information about the accident you should call the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department at 261-1200.
