Gov. Scott McCallum was in Wausau Thursday to receive the endorsement of small business owners in Wisconsin.
He also announced he will negotiate with Wisconsin's Indian Tribes to extend the gaming compacts, but there will be no new casinos.
McCallum said 17 casinos in Wisconsin is enough, and that means there won't be a new casino in Wausau with McCallum in office.
Indian tribes responded by saying they will negotiate with whoever is in office next year, and they have been running ads encouraging voters to think about the new business casinos would generate when they vote this fall.
