Records at three more private deer farms are being looked at after Chronic Wasting Disease was discovered at a private hunting preserve in Portage County.
But state Agricultural veterinarian Clarence Siroky says no decision has been made Monday on whether to quarantine the animals at the farms.
So far, the Portage County deer farm and two deer farms in Walworth County have been quarantined in the probe to find all the deer with the fatal brain disease.
Four deer were shot at one of the Walworth County farms so the deer could be tested for CWD.
Siroky Monday continues to refuse to name the three businesses under quarantine. He says naming them could jeopardize the investigation.
Last week, Siroky said investigators believed the diseased deer shot in Portage County was born on a farm in Walworth County. But he says new information is raising new questions about where that deer came from, which means the probe could widen farther.
