Weston Housing Market Booming

Updated: Mon 10:33 AM, Sep 23, 2002

A Schofield developer has already built 140 houses in the Weston area, and he is finishing a deal that will bring 400 more homes worth $60 million to the east side.

Forrest Trappe Builders are busy, and with a new hospital coming into the area they only expect to get busier.

John Trappe says they had already planned on building the homes, but the $100 million hospital and its 400 workers will only increase the speed with which they sell the homes.

Instead of six to eight years, they could all be gone in five years.

Paul and Missy Haas are a recently married young couple moving into a new home built by Trappe.

They say what most new suburbanites say; they like the quiet, the proximity to work and shopping, and you can't beat the interest rates for a starter home.
