Criminal charges have now been filed against three people investigators say are responsible for a fire last April in Plover.

Patrick Nowak, 18, Jeannie Romportl, 27, and Brian McLeod, 25 are expected to make their initial appearance Monday in Portage County Circuit Court.

Crews responded to the fire on the 3700 block of Post Road in Plover around 3 a.m. On April, 26, 2013.

Investigators said they found unused shop rags at the scene. A witness said the house smelled like lighter fluid.

The suspect are behind bars in the Portage County Jail.

They're expected to be charged with arson, burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.

Three people are in custody after 11 months of investigating into a fire that happened last April in Plover.

The Portage County District Attorney's Office said Patrick Nowak, 18 was taken into custody last week and was placed on a $10,000 bond. Jeannie Romportl, 27 was already in custody on a felony cash bond on an unrelated charge. Brian McLeod, 25 was serving a sentence unrelated to the case. All three face arson charges.

Plover fire crews fought the fire just before 3:00 AM on the 3700 block of Post Road in Plover on April 26, 2013. Investigators said they found unused shop rags at the scene. A witness said the house smelled like lighter fluid. The home was a total loss.
