A Marshfield mother wakes up to find her baby turning blue and gasping for air. She called 9-1-1 and the voice on the other line knew just what to do.
"There is something wrong with my baby," the call started.
"What is the problem?" the dispatcher asked.
"I think she is dead," the caller replied.
The Marshfield dispatcher on the line was Denise Sonnenmann. She got an ambulance in route and immediately explained the steps of rescue breathing and CPR.
"Lay her on her back and just start breathing into her nose and mouth. This will keep getting the oxygen to her," Sonnenmann continued.
The baby, just days old at the time, did pull through. Sonnenmann is just glad she has CPR training and believes every adult should.
